At ARFD, player development is at the heart of everything we do. Our coaching programme is designed to challenge, inspire, and support players at every stage of their journey, both on and off the pitch. Since joining ARFD, we’ve seen such a positive change in my son's confidence and coordination on the pitch. Colin is great – always encouraging, patient and full of energy. The sessions are not only fun but also really well structured, helping my son establish a solid base for grassroots football in an enjoyable way. My son started development training with Colin in May 2025 to support his football journey. He has ADHD and autism, which meant coordination was a challenge for him. Colin is a fantastic coach. He has an excellent rapport with our son, is engaging, enthusiastic and fosters a positive relationship with the game (always striving to ensure the children are having fun). He tailors every session based on the numbers and abilities. Colin is committed to enhancing and developing the children’s skills through well planned sessions, and follows a comprehensive curriculum. Our son has not only improved as a footballer, but has also grown as a person, and that is down to Colin’s coaching, mentoring, and taking the time to get to know him. My son has been attending ARFD sessions with Colin on a Thursday evening. These are small intimate sessions that concentrate on developing ball skills and players confidence. I have really noticed the difference in my son’s development already after just a few sessions. I highly recommend these sessions.
